Hey there!

The IB store is a valuable tool for forums who use points systems, and I love it. I've used it quite a bit for basic functions, such as allowing users to sort themselves into proper member groups. While I will continue to use it, I would like to request some more enhancements that could make it an even more usable tool. The following are the requested enhancements of the IB store:
  • Bonus if/when post reaches X word count - There are bonuses for when threads reach a certain number of post, but none for reaching a certain word count. It would be amazing if that bonus was multi-level, also. For example, a bonus for each time a post reaches 1,000 words. So, for a post that has 4,000 words the bonus is given 4 times. I'd like to see this both for the original post in the topic and replies. While I see that there is an option for awarding points to only threads over a certain word count, I would like to set it up where there is a base points award with bonuses based on how large the post is.
  • Points only gained from posting in certain forums - The forum that I run is a collaborative writing forum. I'd like to only award points to posts in certain forums. Without that option, people can gain the same number of points for posting in an out-of-character forum as those posting within the story specific ones. Being able to select which forums within which the topics get awarded points would be amazing!

I'm definitely not sure how to incorporate these functions. I'd give suggestions if I had them. I also understand that such modifications take time to code if you choose to add them at all. But, I'd really like to see these as part of the IB store.

Thanks a bunch!

Not sure if I am putting this in the right forum since it isn't a problem, but a help request.

I've been looking around for a means of making forums into multiple columns that do not use the CFS codes. I'd prefer to do this using the html templates now available! However, I have yet to find anything that explains a way to do this and am just beginning to learn how to skin so have not figured out how to do it myself.

As an example, this image is the layout I am looking for sans the styling - I want to style in my own way. >>>Two-column layout

At current I would just use it with the base Jcink look until I figure out how I want each forum to look.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

I am having an issue figuring out how to get the forum rules to the top of the forum. As of current, they are positioned below the subforums, but above the forum posts. Here is what it currently looks like >>>

The order that I would like to achieve is:

Top: Forum Rules
Middle: Subforums
Bottom: Forum posts.

I would like to note that the skin I am using does employ CFS. I have looked through the wrappers and stylesheet, and have done a pretty thorough google search and haven't found anything that will help me with this.

Thank you in advance!!!

I think that I have actually figured this out myself!!!

I used the instructions here>>> and it worked like a charm!

Ads on ad-free [SOLVED]

So, we have a premium site (The Scavenger's Daughter) and we have it set to ad-free and 18+ due to the mature content. I also double checked the settings and everything is correct.

Unfortunately, there have been new ads popping up in the sidebar. Here is a picture of one such ad.

Not sure what the deal with it is, but I figured I would let you know!

Dear Jcink,

I just wanted to express my thanks for creating such a fantastic forum hosting service. I have used everything from Yahoo Groups, to MSN, Zeta, Invisionfree, Yuku, Proboards, and more. Jcink is, BY FAR, the best that I have used. It is user friendly for Admin and Member, the features (Ermahgerd, sub-accounts!) are just great, and the bugs are minimal. I absolutely love your service! smile.gif
